WHAT’S HAPPENING … IN FEBRUARY 2015

Education:

14 Febr 2015 – ASWD Road Running Workshop for Event Organizers (Des Harris) George
14 Febr 2015 – ASWD Race Walking Judges Course (Jan Booysen) George

Please take not that we have an ASWD Cross Country Workshop scheduled for 21 March 2015 and an ASA Level 1 and 2 Coaches Course on 29 – 30 May 2015.

Road Running:

7 Febr 2015 – Diaz 10km (ASWD 10km Championships) and 42.2km Mossel Bay
13 Febr 2015 – Hollard Daredevil 5km Fun Run (Men Only) George
21 Febr 2015 – Outeniqua Wheelchair Challenge 5km, 10km, 21.1km and 42.2km George
28 Febr 2015 – Cango 21.1km (ASWD Trial 2 and League Event) and 42.2km Oudtshoorn
28 Febr 2015 – SA 10km Championships Pretoria

Track and Field:

7 Febr 2015 – ASWD Talent ID Development Track and Field Meeting George
12 Febr 2015 – Coastline 2 Hour Track and Field Meeting George

Trail Running:

6 Febr 2015 – Hope Church 3km, 5km and 10km George
28 Febr 2015 – Hops 1km, 5km and 10km George

Team Selection for the SA 21.1km Championships:

Athletes will qualify for selection, provided that they have participated at the ASWD 21.1km Championships (23 May) and 50 % of the nominated trial races within the set qualifying times. The trial races are: 24 Jan – Shoemanshoek 21.1km, 28 Febr – Cango 21.1km, 11 Apr – KKNK 21.1km and 25 Apr – Outeniqua 21.1km. Team Selection for the SA Youth and Junior Track and Field Championships:

Athletes will qualify for selection, provided that they have participated at the ASWD Track and Field Championships (7 Mar), within the set qualifying standards (SASA and ASA). The ASWD Track and Field Team Selection Standards 2015 document is available on our website.
